As the next step in our mission to propel progress for the continent through educating leaders, we are looking to combine our existing success in developing real-world, job skills with a unique new programme designed to give students exposure to and expertise in some of the most pressing challenges facing Africa and the rest of the world. We call this our “Global Challenges” programme. We intend for this program to give students a launchpad from which they can craft careers – or, as we call them in the program, “Missions” – in which they will each pursue a positive impact on one of these grand challenges facing our world. A student graduating with a BA in Global Challenges would be equipped not only with tangible, translatable 21st-century skills and abilities but also with a foundational understanding of the current, key elements within their chosen challenge.
