FOMIC Polytechnic University

Description

Fomic Polytechnic is one of the educational institutions within the Fomic Group and approved by the Ministry of Higher Education of Cameroon. It has two campuses, campus A at Sand pit, Great Soppo and Campus B located at Molyko opposite Orange office Buea. The Polytechnic currently runs two schools-The School of Business and The School of Engineering both equipped with  ultra-modern facilities and a dynamic teaching staff drawn from academic and industry. It equally offers MBA and MSc programs in partnership with the Swiss Management Centre University of Switzerland.

FOMIC polytechnic has as vision to train highly effective professionals that will serve both the national and international market. By providing top class professional education, FOMIC intends to close the void that exist in the Cameroonian market resulting from the insufficiency in professional training facilities.

Conditions d'admission

Applicants must have passed in the GCE A/Level in at least two (2) subjects, or equivalent for the HND and Professional qualifications and GCE O/Level in at least four (4) subjects or equivalent for Pre-HND. Applicants with Bachelor’s Degree in related fields are entitled to specific exemptions from some papers.

Accréditation & Distinctions

FOMIC  Polytechnic  Buea was created by the ministerial decision number 12/0638/MINESUP/SG/DDS OF 23 NOV 2012. Following the creation, the institution was authorized to operate by ministerial decision number 13/0584/MINESUP OF 02 DEC 2013. FOMIC Polytechnic Buea was authorized to run the Bachelor of Technology  and Masters programme under the mentorship of the University of Bamenda (UBa) following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UBa and FOMIC.
